Assignment: Image a day without modern technology ie. ipods, stereos, tv, gas powered mopeds

I can't even imagine that.
I would go into shock.
then be rushed into the ER
What would my day be like?
I would spend my days in the hospital
wondering where IT ALL went wrong
How might I be inconvenienced?
I would be in a hospital bed staring at the ceiling
then I would realize that they had leeches to suck my blood
How might this impact your school day and your studies?
I would be wanted by the state
because I broke out of the hospital
running for my life
towards the...
shh... I can't tell you
How would I feel?
Empty.
Wanted.
Confused.
and then Question
why does this always happen to me
What would be different?
My life
I would be running away
and they can't find me because the don' t have the technology.
I wouldn't go to college.
I would more than likely become a grand auto theif.
on second thought I would probably live...
shh... I can't tell you that

So basically the summer camp I'm in took a week long tour to Seattle.
I'm in love with the city.
Arcades rock my socks off! especially if they have Dance Dance Revolution.
But alas the card that I was given ran out of time.
I heart Pike Place
They have a "golden pig"
I love the shops.
Fresh Friut that smells like-well-high quality fruit-but with cheap prices
They have sea food and sushi and pasteries and pasta the best foods in the world!!
flying fish.
Japanese Gardens
calming, soothing, walk
lots of large koi fish
moss lots and lots of moss
and trees
really cool lanterns too
Science Center
one word: AWESOME
one wish: more time spent there
OH and appearently I'm a drug addict according to this sniff test
Woodland Park Zoo
pretty cool.
got to see all these animals
lots of walking.
kinda confusing
kinda got lost
but I knew where I was I just didn't know how to get to where I wanted to go
I got a shot glass and its green
Boeing
Airplanes take a lot of time to make
welding looks like an cool job
I got another shot glass and this one is blue
a lot of jobs are created by airplanes
WNBA
I don't like basketball
The team we were cheering won
go storms-or whatever
I got to slap a person's hand when they came out
the crowd is a lot more out spoken
people are loud
they had a lot of technology mixed into the stadium
Aquarium
on Peir 59 or is it 56
whatever
anyway we were given 3 hours there.
I could've spent an hour and a half
of that shopping
at Pike's Place
we were only given 1 hour and 45 minutes to eat and shop
I think better time management might've been needed
but that's just me
Harbor Cruise
cool
kinda boring after awhile
peaceful all and all
I got some cool pics
Mr. Socks was our tour guide
I like his socks
Colleges
all unique in their own way
all have good benefits
and disadvantages
mall
entertaining
lots of candy shops
I got a Frapaciuno from Starbucks
YUMMY
Rainforest Garden Cafe
Cheesy
but cool fish
but the autority sat by the fish tanks
oh well I got to stare at weird strobe lights during a "thunderstorm"
Hotel
I'm in love
with a hotel room
it had couches and chairs and desks and dvd players and tvs and nice beds and AC and it was heaven
[please replace all plural words [above] as singular]
but we weren't allowed to talk
Temporary Tattoos are the best!
and they don't come off for about a week.
I won a medal-second place-in impromto speech
which either means I was really good or
everyone else except one was horribly bad
yup. that's about it.
oh ya
and
the squeamish should never get into a car with my friend driving

Airport Day

To start off the day Molly and I just pretty much sat in my room. We probably should've went to the group picture thing but we were too lazy. Then when we finally decide to leave we couldn't find the bus. So we went back upstairs to ask a team leader where to go. So we went back downstairs trying to find Rimrock Parkinglot. After getting ourselves confused we figured out we were in Rimrock Hall so the parking lot would be out front. [We are so bright...] We looked in the parking lot and alas there was no bus to be found. So we decided to look in the next parking lot over. Lets just say that we found it eventually and were one of the first people on...

Then on the way to the airport Tony dropped my Ipod mini but I didn't really care because I do it all the time.

When we got to the airport we got off a bus just to get on another one. Then we went to the terminal building. On the way over Molly hit me... I hit her back.. then she hit me again... then I hit her... Then she told JJ that she was a victim of an abusive relationship. BS. If any one is abused its me. [Molly has elbowed me, hit me in the eye with a rock, nearly made me fall down stairs, etc. and whenever she's mad she takes out her anger on who? me.] So JJ decided that she would seperate us. lol.

Back to the airport we saw the inside of the control tower, the radar room, the security check-in place and the hangers for the airplanes.

Did you know that the maintenance crew is also the airport firefighters? Well they are.

I got to sit in a snow plow. That made my day. A person feels so powerful behind the wheel of one of those vehicals.

They have really cool rocking chairs there. I was considering stealling one but that would be obvious. *picture this* I'm walking down the stairs with a chair. I try to look down at the steps while forgetting what's in my hands. I end up hitting someone [probably Molly]. She falls down the stairs. Realizing this I drop the chair, trip over it, and fall over/ onto the chair... *end of picture* Yeah they'll never notice. [please envision voice dripping with sarcasism]

Mandatory Socializing

I don't really like it. I like being in my own little bubble oblivious to almost everything around me. Don't Force Me To Socialize. When I want to talk to people I will. End of Story. Next topic please.

Being late
My friend and I were
late to class
after a break
The teachers freaked out
They wrote "negative" performance reports
We checked the time
But it was wrong apparently
We were two minutes late
Class hadn't even started
Tommorrow I can't have a break
That's dumb.

Things I thought I would never do

If a person told me a week ago

I would see John at Spencer's
John would become my foot warmer
John and I would talk on the phone for more than an hour each night
I would peel an orange one-handed and attempt eating it
I would have a conversation with John about shaving
I would see Barb at the Library
I would run into a swing set
I would willingly play wiffle-ball with my cousins
I would have never believed them.
But alas they all happened and my mind hurts.

Procrastination

I really despise writing these blogs. I have no motivation to actually write down what happens because everyone else in the program is doing the exact same thing.

Sharpies

I went on a field trip today to the airport again. Except this time I went inside the airport to look at the kite exhibit. It was kinda interesting. The best part though was when the tour guide-lady-person-who-sets-up-the-exhibit showed us the kite that was colored with sharpies. I really like sharpies. The black ones smell the best though. Don't ask ITs a very long story.

The poems I was forced to create. *warning* They are extremely sad *warning*

The Airplane I saw on Wednesday.
The plane stood still
waiting quietly for compiments.
The polished, shiny, alunimum flying fortress
B-17 plane smiled at the crowd of students.
Evaluating a web page
The important thing about the critical evaluation of the Web page info is:
that you know what you are talking about.
It proves the resourcefulness it promised
and makes researching easier
and makes sure the info is credible
and makes life easier in the the future,
so that you sleep easier at night.
But the most important thing about the critical evaluation of the Web info is:
that you know what you are talking about.
I'm pretty sure that resourcefulness is a word I made up...
